A mantra for calming the busy thinking mind

I thought I would share something with you this evening that helps me stay mindful on a day-to-day basis 🙏🏼

✨ SO HAM ✨

This is my favourite mantra of all time - as it’s easy to remember and brings me immediately back into the present moment.

Begin by finding a sweet, effortless and comfortable posture - you know your body best and what will serve you the most. Then drop the busy thinking mind deep into the peaceful heart by gently and gratefully focusing on the breath. Just feeling every inhale and exhale like waves of positivity rising and falling from the body 🌊

And then when you are ready - on the inhale silently and internally chant the word SO....

And on your exhale slowly and silently, internally chant the word HAM.....

So Ham means I AM THAT ✨

I am that.

I am enough.

I am here... something we all need to remind ourselves daily 🙏🏼

I have a beautiful mala bead set made by my mum @mothermooncrystals which I use to accompany my chanting - I follow one rotation of the mala 📿 so that means I have chanted So Ham 108 times.... that might sound like A CRAZY number - but honestly it never feels long enough!! It takes me about 5 minutes to slowly, consciously chant on every bead! I feel great benefits from doing this just once a day - it’s like I’ve been plugged into the source energy 🌟 Leaving me glittering, renewed and ready to face the day!!

Don’t worry if you don’t have a mala - you can use your fingers to tap along your knees... or just decide a set number of times to repeat - it could be just three times... it could be 10 times! 🧘🏼‍♀️

I’d love to hear your favourite mantra or affirmation ✨ each one has such a different energy!

Namaste,
